The Terreris Are Coming

Hehe, Okami got me in the mood to do a little folklore myself, Erarite-style. So here's old Erar's etching of the doom of the Valley of the Cows. Nobody to this day really knows how the Cows died out on Russiac, but many believe it was either the Hole in the Mirror Zone, barbarians, or what is depicted here--the very first Phantasmagoria.

Phantasmagoria occurs once every year in the Valley of the Cows' capital city, right on the shores of Erar's Lake. When the bell tolls at sunset on the night of a New Moon, when all is dark, the underlings of Typhon come out to wreak havoc on the ruins of the once-great Cow civilization (not that havoc doesn't occur there every month; those nasty Raycastles, always coming for a meal!).

No, that isn't a UFO; the thing on the right is one of the Cows' greatest monuments, the Pie Observatory. And on the left is one of the Four Great Towers, the Bell Tower of Westvard. It rings every hour, on the hour, and its toll can be heard throughout the entire planet.
