Retro Revamps - Into the Shadows (2009)

I really can't stand the thumbnail for this picture. I'm not quite sure why it doesn't look as good as the actual image...

Anyway, I've found my drawing and coloring skills to be a little rusty on the ol' tablet now that I'm getting back into the swing of things. After a late night of sketch-mania didn't help, I didn't really know what to do until I started looking for thumbnail-sized pictures to use for my character list on my new website (*COUGHCOUGH* [link] *COUGHCOUGH*) and realized that I have loads of unfinished pictures that could use some finishing and doing so would be good practice to get back into the game. So I've been going through my PDN and PSD files that I never converted to PNG's to see if there was anything worth salvaging. I've come across a number of stuff, and the first that I finished touching up is this one from 2009. The sketch was done, but when I arrived at it and saw how awesome it looked I decided to make a solid outline and color it. It was good practice using different brushes!

Anyway, this is just Dreyfus in his Kitsune Partitial form, about to slip into the shadow world...or something. To be honest, I seem to draw him doing this in his Kitsune forms so much that I've actually forgotten whether it was just for teleporting or if it was for other powers too... Whichever the case, this is quite an awesome picture and it was fun to finish too. The background seems a little lacking, though.
