Description

Here's something cool. These are ancient paintings done by the Ancient Bovines, the people who once ruled the Valley of the Cows and since have been wiped out entirely at the Fall of Westvard. Westvard was originally the ancient center of the arts, so its only natural that the cows would have some paintings of their own. The red is a visual history of the Bovines from rise to power to the Fall of Westvard. The green are religious paintings in honor of the Bovines' patron goddess, Gaia. So here's what's going on (don't read the following two paragraphs if you'd rather just interpret the meanings from the picture):

1 depicts the origin of the Bovines, during the Paleolithic Age when they were slaves of the Erasers. 2 details how they escaped and built the Pie Observation Tower in present-day Westvard as a tribute to Gaia. In return, the Bull of Gaia was sent to Westvard. 3 shows how the three-headed Bull of Gaia defeated the Erasers living in the Valley, burning down every last ship. 4 illustrates the creation of Westvard's centerpiece: the Bell Tower. 5 has the arrival of the tower's bell and the Fall of Westvard. The picture is pretty vague, causing the lack of certainty of what actually caused the Bovines' demise. 6 depicts the last attempt of the Bovines to stop their inevitable extinction. The Gravitational Vase's purpose is unknown, because as 7 (the final Bovine painting on record) shows, the single person lucky enough to survive the Valley long enough to enter the Bell Tower found the Gravitational Vase in pieces. It is believed that the Vase was made to propel away whatever was destroying Westvard.

A was the official emblem of the Cow Kingdom. It depicts a bull, the holy animal of Gaia, surrounded by the symbols of the kingdom. The two most important ones are the one in the bull's stomach (the symbol of Gaia) and the one beneath it (the symbol of Westvard). B is a large mural that adorns the Temple of Gaia, a structure near Carrol Lake, which now lies in ruins beneath the Black Mirror Cloud.

So anyway, this was a little doodle I made on the airplane flying back to the US from England. I think it's pretty cool, and is a nice example of imaginary ancient art. :) I like the style I invented for the Bovine artists.
